Description
This mixed media piece uses acrylic, collage and mark-making tools. Often I will begin an abstract piece with no reference point, but my subconscious takes over, leading me to explore experiences and thoughts of the day.
In the case of this work, I was reading the book, "When I Fell from the Sky" by Juliene Diller. It relates the story of a young woman who is the lone survivor of a plane crash in the amazon and finds her way through deep jungle to finally be rescued.
