Description
An impressionistic abstract of a joyride on a rickety old rollercoaster. Rollercoasters have been a mainstay in the U.S. for a long time. But their history goes all the way back to Catherine the Great and wild sledding rides down hills around Moscow. Fast forward to America, where coal miners in Pennsylvania gave rides in coal buckets to the brave and daring, rides that lasted 8.7 miles down steep inclines. Brave indeed.
I've always admired the engineering required to invent such a joyous and risky experience.
