Description
This musical abstract painting, "Player Piano," is my impression of the music, mechanism, and beauty of old player pianos. Invented in 1897 by E.S. Votey, the pianola, or player piano, functions through the use of foot treadles which pump air through holes in the piano roles. 88 holes, one for each key on the piano, direct air to pneumatic devices which prompt the key hammers to be struck.
This colorful, abstract painting will add a splash of color to any music lover's office, living room or music room.
